How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

Me, I’m the silently, stoically suffering type (okay, I can’t hold a candle to Wednesday, but she’s special, she’s an Addams), but it would be nice for once if someone would recognize all the emotional labor I do on behalf of the chronically superstitious — I mean, maybe I’m better off than poor Manic Monday, who takes that flak every week, but she doesn’t have to put up with little miss T-G-I-Fucking “everyone’s glad to see me — psych! — except when I’m you!” Friday, does she?

That works out, though: if their wedding date has strategically directed bad luck already, then we don't have to make sure someone walks under a ladder or opens an umbrella indoors or loses money at a casino, and we don't have to find a black cat ears headband for the ringbearer or an actual black cat, and we won't have to worry about anyone breaking mirrors or bones—and trust me, Marinette will worry."

Persephone sits in the icy mountain stream, it being too small to have gave birth to a deity which is great because the chill is the only thing keeping her from boiling alive, but refuses to leave the shade of the overhanging boughs from the nearby oak. The sun is beating down, straining to see around the leaves and branches, and oh, she can just feel Apollo craning his dumb head around to peep at her and the rest of the ladies that had dove into the water to escape his damn heat.

"If he thinks sitting in the same spot, cooking us alive, is going to get us to come out and flash our tits at him, I'll kill him myself," she announces and got a chorus of agreements in return.

Somewhere in one of the other shadows, Artemis sighs and stands up. Getting her bow from the grass and fishing an arrow out, she walks out from under the trees and shoots the arrow into the sky--Persephone smirks as they all heard a yelp from miles up. "Move it or lose the ability to have children, asshole!" Artemis shouts and time finally seems to start again as her brother scrambles to get back on his way.

Benoit Blanc liked to think that he was adaptable in any given situation, but being herded by a damned soulmate goose biting at his ankle until he was in front of his number one suspect (who was currently being pummeled by his own goose) was beyond the pale.

Phillip's eyes blew wide on spotting who was on the other end of his goose, and there might or might not have been a faint "bloody hell."

"This is more problematic than a three-legged dog on a tightrope," Benoit agreed with a sigh.

"It's not too late yet," Hanyu pleads, but Rika doesn't bother to run, not even after the telltale creak warns her of what's coming, doesn't sneak out the window, doesn't waste her energy on another hopeless dash through the bleak forest and another body-breaking stumble through mud and jagged rocks that will end with another cold gun barrel pressed against her temple.

Instead she just closes her eyes, and when the hand grips her neck like an old friend, Rika starts laughing.
