Three Sentence Ficathon

Katsuya watches Tatsuya, standing apart from the rest of them and flicking his lighter impatiently. This is not his younger brother- or, at least, not the younger brother he half-raised, not the younger brother who's been pulling away and getting mixed up in all sorts of trouble.

Tatsuya catches his eye and quickly looks away. "You must think this is all pretty absurd. Another world, another me... Even if it's true."

Katsuya frowns. He's not wrong, but that doesn't mean he doesn't believe his brother. Even if this isn't the Tatsuya he knows...

"What was your Katsuya like?" he says instead.

Tatsuya flicks his lighter, looking away. "...a pain, if I'm being honest."

Katsuya scoffs. "That sounds about right. You think I'm a pain over here, too." He goes to stand by his brother, following his gaze over the city that stretches out below. "Well, until your business is finished here... I'll keep being a pain. It's my job, as your brother and a police officer. And I'll trust in you to keep us all safe from whatever the hell Nyarlathotep has planned."

Tatsuya looks up at him, naked surprise in his eyes for just a moment before he looks away again, trying to throw up those tough guy walls. "...just don't feed me any cake."
