Xion was aware of her unwelcome before she knew her name was Xion, before she even understood that "she" was. It was hard to miss the way Xemnas's eyes skipped over her to talk to Vexen, the way Saïx sneered at her, the way the others barked orders at her like a Dusk or ignored her entirely. For a long time, she accepted it, knowing nothing else.

Roxas and Axel changed much in her, but never this: she envied the Nobodies. They din't truly exist any more than she did, but at least they had a place to belong in each other.
