This post will remain open for new prompts until we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.
How to Prompt
Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence
Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand
Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:
any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either
Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:
Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand
Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!
Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!
A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.
Cross-posting is encouraged; there is a 3SF Collection on AO3 if you'd like to post fills there as well.

Date: 2023-01-19 04:42 am (UTC)Today, Cheng Xiao would like to take her old instructor to task for that second part, because the sudden meowing that could be heard from outside the cockpit door was definitely not what a pilot wanted to hear, especially on a cargo flight that was supposed to be transporting a herd of cows.
Song Song was sent out to investigate, and a few moments later, he came back to the cockpit with a small tabby in his arms. “I guess he must have somehow hidden in one of the stalls transporting the cows onto the plane and hid in the hay or something. Yue Yue is allergic to cats, Xiao-jie already has Polly and a cat and a bird doesn’t seem like the best fit. Lao Cai, didn’t you say your daughter likes cats?”
And that was the story of how Lao Cai became a cat grandpa.
Mad Max, Post-Fury Road

Like a miracle, it has a small smattering of abandoned cars around it, and he finds himself trying to piece together the tragedies that caused their owners to leave such valuable resources behind while he shimmies their locks, his bones heavy with the effort of imagining a world calm enough to carve a giant sheep and the realization that, a few hard years' worth of deaths ago, he would have feared some desperate souls awaiting him for an ambush.

Lucy smiles at her in return, spreading her arms wide in what is either a gesture of welcome or getting her hands free so that knives in her sleeves can come out should Chiana turn out to be unfriendly.

Date: 2023-01-19 08:29 am (UTC)He jumped as cool fingers slid over his nape, snapping upright; Kei crooned softly, voice sliding into a gentle melody as he drew Sho into his lap. Sho turned his face in against Kei's shoulder, breathing deep, his shakes calming a little as he took shelter in Kei's endlessly comforting embrace; he didn't know how Kei always knew when Sho needed him, but . . . he had found himself almost beginning to rely on it, with aching gratitude.

“You’re Jing Jing’s husband, right?” the person who had placed the drink down said, sitting down opposite him. “Call me Ting Ting.”
Yu Tu blinked, and then stared at the drink in front of him.
“It’s cheaper than therapy,” ‘call-me-Ting-Ting’ said with a playful smile. “Trust me, I should know, I’m his wife.”
Yu Tu didn’t need to turn to know that she was pointing at the male lead actor, and found himself unable to hold back a chuckle.
She probably had it worse than him, Yu Tu realised, because she was an actress too, so she really couldn’t tell her husband to avoid these scenes, even if she wanted to.

"You know, I have no idea why we started it," Keisuke said, blinking, and Kin-chan frowned slightly; Keisuke kissed him softly, hugging him tight, "which star would you wish on?" he asked, stroking Kin-chan's long hair out of his face and smiling as he perked up again, bright eyes darting back up to the night sky.

Date: 2023-01-19 09:14 am (UTC)Jareth cringes, unease twisting through his heart - the voice is as fractured as the rest of his beloved Labyrinth, weak and warbling as though caught between worlds - but smooths a caress over an archway - the third of an archway - as he passes through it, sinking down midway along a set of steps floating at a shifting angle in what used to be his favourite room in his castle.
"She won over us," Jareth says, exhausted and feeling rather . . . fractured inside himself, "it is what we have grown to be, to do for them," he gives up and stretches out along the steps, feeling each corner pressing against his spine but not enough to be bothered, "and now she and the child are gone, as they should be. Holding grudges-"
Break free they might, but to break us! I will be as angry as I please!
