It gets blurrier the more time they spend in England, and sometimes she forgets to look for it, but her brother is every inch the king Aslan Himself proclaimed him to be, and Lucy could not be more proud of her oldest brother. In Narnia, Peter had fallen into the role of High King easily and naturally, still needing to be taught the details of ruling a kingdom, but embodying the spirit of kingship immediately: loving his people, staying strong for them, and being the leader they needed. Here in England, he still does those things for the other three, and later graciously accepts first Eustace and then Jill into their fold with warm strength, but when he walks among the people who are only of this world he is still every inch a king: he is diplomatic and kind, giving them respect, but not allowing them to change him, as though he is an ambassador to this strange land and must represent the land he rules to everyone he meets.
