When he lifts his eyes three feet away, it's not disbelief, it's not confusion, it's not even anger that he feels when he sees the reason that the third count hasn't happened. No, Kevin looks at Sami clinging to the hand of the referee and physically stopping him from counting, and feels worry, because Sami has never, ever sunk this low before. Kevin is the one who will strive for a win by any means necessary, not Sami, because Sami has always been pure and true in victory *and* defeat . . . but Roman, it seems, has warped Sami so badly that Kevin doesn't know if he recognizes his once-best friend in the man across from him.
