Three Sentence Ficathon

The studio of the fashion designer, Lina Wang, was small by the standards of those who usually dressed A-list celebrities for big award shows like this, but Jing Jing found it pleasantly cosy. Her good feeling about this new designer who she had more or less gambled on to choose as the person to dress her for the Golden Eagle Awards increased when she first tried the dress on.

“It has pockets!” Jing Jing exclaimed in surprised delight, having given up on fashion designers giving her pockets in her award ceremony dresses a long, long, long time ago.

“Of course it has pockets! Both the red carpet and the ceremony are so long, you need a place to put your things.”

Jing Jing twirled around in the dress and grinned at herself in the mirror, buoyant with pleasure.

“I think you must be quite brilliant, Ms Wang,” Xiao Zhu said, smiling impishly. “She’s not usually so easy to impress.”

“Anyone who gives me pockets in a red carpet gown has my seal of approval!” Jing Jing announced. “Functional pockets are necessary, this is a fact! I don’t know why we ever decided it was not!”
