When Kenma met Shouyou for the first time, the term "vampire" was the last thing on his mind.

He had always expected vampires to look a bit...darker, brooding, mysterious, nothing like the boy he was hanging out with under the full moon that night, a boy with messy, bright orange hair, a loud voice, and a smile that bore not just his fangs but the rest of his teeth as well.

Kenma felt safe around Shouyou, if only for the fact that they were both outcasts in their own right.
