Date: 2023-01-14 03:07 pm (UTC)So I think starting in 2016 there was a 12 Monkeys tv series made, it's four seasons long, and it beautifully delves into so many of the ideas the movie brought up. (AND, Jeffry Goines gets made into Jennifer Goines, played by Emily Hampshire, and she's brilliant.) There's all kind of twisty timelines, and a beautiful love story between James Cole and Cassandra Railly, and Katarina Jones is a wonderful character. (And I'm a sucker for middle aged women who will take on the moral burden of doing what's necessary, in order to spare the consciences of those they love.)
I believe it's watchable on Hulu, and god, it's fantastic.
