"It's too bitter without the milk and the sugar", Monica answered.

"It was as it should be. You can't appreciate its true flavor like this."

"Come on, Thomas. I thought I had taught you to appreciate the sweet things in life."

Thomas snorted.

"You are all the sweetness I need and, even then, it's still weird when you get too sweet. I'm already used to you being outspoken."

Monica laughed. She always liked being reminded how Thomas appreciated her outspoken streak.

"Good to know you like it when I'm outspoken. I would hate to disappoint."

She gave him a gentle peck on the lips.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."
