Leia looks at the strange man in front of her—Ben, he says his name is, but it doesn't quite ring true—and every bit of logic tells her not to trust him, tells her to run, but there's something else and she hesitates, somehow knows that (he loves her, he would never hurt her, she is a beacon to him, his entire being is focused on her safety) she can trust him, so she waits and listens and does not run, and the future shifts.

Obi-Wan grabs Leia and he runs; he doesn't move to distract and he doesn't face the boy he raised turned monster he might as well have made, he just runs like all the forces of hell are behind him (which they might as well be) and the future shifts.

Darth Vader hears the man in front of him apologize through tears, and it occurs to him that he loved this man, that this man raised him and cared for him ("I loved you!") and fought by his side, and he's seeing clearly with one eye and red with the other and his almostfatherbrothernotanymore is standing in front of him crying and something deep inside him breaks and he doesn't know if he's Vader or Anakin or neither and the future shifts.
