There's a hill he always climbs, and at the top are the remains of packing crates they weren't able to use in constructing the settlement; they're slowly turning into a pile of rust and scrap (and he wonders if the ships would have done this after a fashion if they hadn't driven everything into the sun).

Lee feels like the crates, sometimes, as he watches the children (that would never have been board on-ship, even with the laws Madame President handed down, there were ways to prevent them).

(and then his own will grab his hands and latch onto his legs and drag him down in a pile of laughter and glee that they won, and Lee will stop thinking about the gray in his hair and the loss of everyone he once held dear)
