This post will remain open for new prompts until we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.


How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

Cross-posting is encouraged; there is a 3SF Collection on AO3 if you'd like to post fills there as well.

Transformers (G1), Megatron/Optimus Prime

They'd fought the same fight they had for eons, bellowed the same arguments they had for eons, over a stretch of rusted metal that didn't even matter in the end, and when the fight went badly for the Autobots Optimus was deeply annoyed to find himself captured instead of deactivaged, for he knew from eons of experience that it meant Megatron wanted to continue their 'debate' in a more intimate setting.

"I'm tired, Megatron," Optimus rumbled resentfully once the Slagmaker had him alone. "Do as you will, but no more words tonight."

And Megatron frowned, but took him at his word; their coupling was fierce and merciless and powerful enough to make the lights flicker, and while Optimus was sure Megatron would have preferred his rival put up more of a fight, he was at least enough of a gentlemech to pin Optimus down and give him satisfaction worth the pain.

I really enjoyed the sense of their long, messy history and Optimus's sense of annoyance mixed with reluctant enjoyment :D And characterizing the sex as "fierce and merciless and powerful" is so good.

bare: a pop opera, Jason/Peter

This is exactly why Jason sleeps through mass whenever he can: because it's that or walk out of it feeling like everything he wants is branded on him, an itch under his skin that he can't shake as he smiles and jokes his way through the halls, avoiding Peter's attempts to touch because he wants to sink into them instead. It's days like this he can't stand to see the inside of their room until he's too tired to think, knows too well how many knots he'll tie himself up in if he isn't worn out enough, the break-up speeches he's planned while Peter sleeps next to him and never been able to say. So Jason runs instead. Runs until his legs feel like jelly, every step uncomfortable enough that it keeps him from thinking about anything but getting off his feet, and jogs his way back down the halls for good measure.

Peter is waiting, and when Jason's this tired it's so easy to let Peter push him down and press against him without thinking about what it costs, so easy to stop pretending he doesn't want, to whisper, "need you, I need you," against Peter's mouth and let himself know it's the truest thing he's ever said.

I love the pining and the way Jason twists himself up with his desire! Especially liked the last line :D

Trapped and Held (Naruto; Madara/Tobirama)

"I . . . I'm so tired of all of . . . this." Madara closed his eyes, shaking his head, then startled as strong fingers curled around his wrists, pushing him backwards; he let himself be moved, looking up.

"Then let go," Tobirama said, crimson eyes almost glowing with intensity that made Madara's breath catch, "I've got you." he almost growled the promise, and Madara shivered and arched, pushing thoughtlessly against Tobirama's pin and almost moaning as he hit the end of it, trapped and held beneath his lover.

Oh, very hot! I love wrist pinning and especially Madara arching instinctively into it :D

Thank you! X3 It might be difficult for anyone who knows him to believe, but Madara's quite happy where he is, I think. ;)

Harry Potter, Hermione/Draco

“I’m tired of this,” Hermione said at last, after months of them each, by silent agreement, avoiding any situation that might tip them toward a moment that they could not walk away from, that could ruin their fragile arrangement and force them to confront the feelings that welled up between them, “tired of fighting what we feel because we’re afraid that no one will accept us; I don’t want to keep fighting this”—she gestured between them—“because haven’t we sacrificed enough already, and isn’t it time we choose what we want for ourselves, damn what everyone else thinks?”

“That’s the most sensible thing I’ve heard anyone say since the end of the war,” Draco said, the corner of his mouth tipped up in a smirk, and he closed the space between them as he whispered against her lips, “Damn what everyone else thinks, then, Granger, because I don’t want to fight this anymore, either,” and he met Hermione’s lips in a searing kiss that stole the breath from her lungs as their hands scrabbled at each other’s clothes, shedding whatever they could as they stumbled to the couch and fell onto it, his skin hot against hers as they shifted to fit along the length of the couch.

“Damn what they think; damn what every one of them thinks,” Draco murmured again, pressing kisses to her neck, her clavicles, the valley between her breasts, until he left her flushed and breathless, curving against him and longing for his touch on every inch of her heated skin; he pinned her hands above her head with one hand and straddled her, and as the fingers of his free hand trailed down her stomach, all the desire she had denied herself for the months they had fought their feelings built within her in an aching pulse of heat, and her head fell back onto the arm of the couch as he stoked it into an obliterating blaze.

I'm a huge fan of them chucking in the pretending and going at it - and also not caring what the others around them will say. They've both weathered a war. Gossips and people being assholes is nothing compared to that.

Me too! They deserve to have something be uncomplicated for once, and Hermione especially deserves to do something for herself and not have to sacrifice her desires for what others expect/want.
