This post will remain open for new prompts until we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.


How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

Cross-posting is encouraged; there is a 3SF Collection on AO3 if you'd like to post fills there as well.

It's my personal opinion that she calls to Tyrion very, *very* deliberately. She's playing the long game here, and she's playing to win. And I? Love her for it.

The Goblin Emperor, Maia runs away

Maia takes one breath. Two, three, four. Again. Breathe in, breathe out.

Look up at the stars, turn back to the road, to keep an even footing. 'Cstheio Caireizhasan, hear me.Cstheio Caireizhasan, see me. Cstheio Caireizhasan, know me.' Another breath.

More silent prayer, again and again, heart-rate and breaths calming as he does so.

'Cstheio Caireizhasan, hear my prayer.'

He makes a wish on a star, the one that lights his way out of the swamp-roads and into the Ethuveraz. 'Cstheio Caireizhasan, grant me freedom.'

Worthy Opponents

Guybrush stares down his enemy, eyes narrow, weight tipped slightly forward onto the balls of his feet so that he can burst into motion in any direction.

"This island only has room for one El Pollo Diablo," Guybrush declares, pointing dramatically at the small red hen, "and that Pollo Diablo is me!"

Upon the referee's dramatic squawk, the two combatants hurl themselves at each other in a flurry of feathers to begin the traditional ritual dance-off for the Pirate Chicken King crown.

Two Roads Converged (Greenwing & Dart)

"What could possibly bring such an august personage as the Lady Jessamine's own daughter, swiftly becoming famous in her own right for dismantling the Indrillines' criminal empire, to a quiet backwater like Ragnor Bella?" the young man asked after rising from an elaborate bow and resettling his plumed tricorner hat atop his neatly queued brown hair.

His manners would have been more convincing had he not been wearing a mask over his upper face and standing beside Violet's coach with a bloodstained sword only just withdrawn from her driver's shoulder, but Violet chose to take his question at face value: "Rumors of cults to the Dark Kings, assorted long-lost heirs popping out of the woodwork, and a new criminal element extending tendrils out of the Arguty Forest toward both Ronderell and Chare," she said dryly; "Dare I hope that you might be in a position to answer some of my own questions in turn?"

"Alas, I must disappoint," the masked man said with a swift grin, "but I will leave you with two pieces of advice: first, the Viscount St. Noire is hosting a dinner party the evening after next, to which I'm certain you will be extended an invitation and where you may gather all manner of fascinating gossip; and second, that I recommend Elderflower Books off the market square most highly as a haven for all whose tastes run toward adventure -- you may tell Mrs. Etaris that her former clerk sends his regards."

Sometimes she wonders if things would have been different between them, if she had been a boy. Maybe Billy would have liked a stepbrother instead of a stepsister. Maybe their stupid mixed-up family could have gotten along, if they were brothers. Maybe Billy wouldn't have been so angry. Maybe they could have been friends. And then maybe he wouldn't have died at all.

It DID. Jon is a sweetheart and a good egg, so yes, he'll just pretend away all the bad things (until he can't and they all fall down on his head, as is customary with Jon, but we won't talk about that).

I almost always end Susan/Jon stories happily, so maybe in this one she just ends up back with Jon for good after the train crash! At least she doesn't have to be alone then. "Brutal but kind of sweet" is my calling card, lol.

Stray Kids, Felix/Bang Chan, Wishing on your stars

Chan is standing in front of Felix, his fingers softly running across the freckles that cover his cheeks; Felix should probably be a little weirded out by it, but it's definitely not the first time it's happened, and it probably won't be the last.

When Chan's fingers brush across the bridge of his nose, Chan smiles and closes his eyes, hips lips moving as though he's silently talking to himself.

"I'm making a wish," Chan says before Felix can even ask, "If you're supposed to be able to wish on a star, I figured that wishing on these must be even luckier."
