This post will remain open for new prompts until we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.


How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

It didn’t take Quynh long to realize that her weird immortality was shared by her pursuer. The woman believes so strongly in justice that one might think it was that belief keeping her alive—or the universe’s appreciation for her smooth, confident competence.

Quynh thinks it’s the latter—and is happy to take the implied compliment to herself, as they chase each other through time, through empires, through opportunities.

There is no shame in the way of the dragons — they are the most powerful family in Westeros, and their way reigns strong over any of the Faith's tenets.

It is a foregone conclusion, and so it is all Rhaenyra hears growing up: Daemon will destroy you, Daemon will consume you, Daemon will eat you alive. It is said to her in candied, oblique comments when Daemon leaves the room and whispered behind their backs when they walk together, but Rhaenyra pays no mind to any of it; a star is no real choice beside the fire of a dragon.

It never becomes easy, standing back up when his body screams at him to give out, to sink into the styx. Thanatos' hand on his shoulder, beckoning him to come home, is gentle, and so, so tempting as his vision goes grey and fuzzy.

But Zagreus stands anyway, and forces himself to refuse the call; until he's broken free, he's not done.

"Have I not done enough," Leia rages at the universe or the Force or maybe her brother, who she can feel approaching behind her, "will there ever be enough?"
She knows that she angers too easily, that she rages too hard, that she holds grudges too long, and that is a part of why she has never let her brother teach her any more than the very basics of Force use: because she does not ever want to become like Vader.
Her brother pulls her into a hug and she can feel his guilt like it's her own and her anger fades into grief for her son, for her self, for her brother, for the galaxy: "I thought he could be everything good about our family; I never thought he would be everything bad."

the Foot/their younger hangers-on always fascinated me in the first film. It was my first exposure to the concept of 'found family' before I ever heard the term. XD

The children of Jedi were a rarity already, the children of a Jedi with enough power to light a sun nearly unheard of. Yet here they are: twins, mirrors of each other, born into a galaxy with no one to tell them what is impossible and with an inheritance of power that lets them make anything possible. They could burn the galaxy until there is nothing left but ash if they so desired, but power is not all they inherited, and they love justice and freedom and life, and their power is used to protect, not to burn.

TGCF, He Xuan/Shi Qingxuan [spoilers]

He Xuan dreaded what would happen next: caught with Shi Qingxuan while under a truth spell that could affect even a Supreme. Shi Qingxuan could ask anything, make him reveal all his plans and secrets -- but she only asked him a single question, then cried out, "I knew you liked me, Ming-xiong!" and flung her arms around his neck.

If Shi Qingxuan wished to waste the opportunity on something so foolish as feelings, so be it; even if an acquaintance that began as another way to attack his enemy's vulnerabilities had somehow become--not that, it would make no difference to his revenge.

The first time she falls asleep on him, they've just won a long and hard battle and they are all exhausted, but Ahsoka is only fourteen and not used to this. Anakin looks down at her, tiny and relaxed and too innocent for this war, and he silently vows to protect her with everything he has. She's his now, his Padawan, his little sister, and he'll never let anyone take her away from him.

For weeks afterward, Steve's bed is rarely empty. Robin is almost always there, the two of them borderline co-dependent and only able to sleep with the other there, but the kids stay over sometimes and don't start in his bed, but frequently seek comfort after their own nightmares, crawling into the bed between Steve and Robin. Sometimes they don't even make it to the bed, the older and younger kids falling asleep in piles in front of the TV, Steve staying awake only long enough to throw blankets over them before finding a spot to burrow in and go to sleep himself.
