How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

BTS, Min Yoongi, That photoshoot

He knows it's going to cause a stir (chaos, Hobi assures him, it will cause chaos) but he wants to do it anyway; although maybe wants isn't quite the right word, he's still figuring that one out.

It takes the stylists forever to stick on the small flowers, making sure every single one is perfectly placed, hiding what he wants hidden, showing what he doesn't want to hide anymore. This isn't his first photoshoot - he doesn't even think it's his hundredth - but it's different in so many ways, and as the photographer begins to commit this (possibly insane) decision to film, Yoongi hopes that maybe this time he'll be considered the fashionable member of the group, at least until Taehyung does his thing again.

Oh! I’ve read that book and enjoyed it a lot! This is one of my favourite, if not My Absolute Favourite fairy tale, especially looking at the other versions out there. I get there’s the romantic love between the girl and the prince / king who marries her, but I have always loved the familiar love between her and her brothers.

Deserves is a strong word, but I imagine this is a case he'll politely decline when Lestrade or Gregson comes to request his help.

Our Flag Means Death, Ed/Stede, just a suggestion

Ed had imagined quite a few possible responses Stede might give to the suggestion of Ed being the one to give Stede his first tattoo, including but not limited to, "Oh, darling, I'd love that," and, "Certainly, but I think I need to ravish you first," and, "Yes, but not until we've picked the absolutely perfect design and the perfect place to put it, which might take weeks of careful exploration of every inch of my skin, preferably with your mouth," but as was was so often the case, Stede's actual response didn't match any of the several dozen on Ed's mental list, instead being a distracted but very final sounding, "I'm sorry, dear, but you can't," without even looking up from the book he was reading, which brought Ed up short more quickly than a slap in the face would have.

"Forget I said anything, was a stupid idea anyway," Ed muttered, drawing away, and somehow that was enough to catch Stede's full attention.

"Oh, Ed, I only meant that I already have a first tattoo," Stede said, catching Ed by the hand and twining their fingers together, "but I would be honored if you'd give me my second."

I can hear the actor's voices exactly, especially that last line complete with short Patrick Stewart sigh before launching into an explanation of the human condition. Great TNG channeling.

The manthing wailed and trashed, spittle and a few drops of blood flying from his mouth. Bela sneered at him, her sisters hissing and taking steps to cut out his foul tongue. Lady Dimitrescu raised her glass to her red lips, raised her eyes to the maid faithfully waiting to clean the mess once her mistresses gave the order.

The sweet scent of her best wine almost washed away the stench of the creature before her chair.

"You think very highly of yourself, manthing, if you think you'd ever be worthy of my table, much less my cellar. Daughters, you can have fun with this one. Just make sure there's enough left for a new scarecrow."

Stevie, wearing her usual swing dress, branded Rosebudd apron, and elbow-length rubber gloves, was having a perfectly normal morning doing her rounds--until, that is, she opened the lobby door to see a vaguely her-shaped shadow darkening the check-in counter.

They both screamed.

Nega-Stevie recovered first, turning to a familiar, sports jersey-clad David to growl, "Oh, come on, this is what you think I'm supposed to wear to work every day?"

They watched him warily, they said that he had lost his mind, that he was a threat, undermining their peace - well, Madara had watched the dream he had helped to build develop a rot and shadows beneath, and he refused to remain and watch it spread.

". . .did you think I would allow you to go alone?" Tobirama said, voice low and steady, crossing the distance between them as Madara's eyes widened; he brushed a hand over Madara's forearm, and Madara realised that . . . his happuri bore neither the Konoha leaf nor the Senju kongou.
