How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

Oooo this was such a sensual take on the prompt. The bit about the curling toes was *so* good as well as you describing Hades' words as "reverential."

Thank you! I always enjoy takes on Hades/Persephone where they're both in love with one another so this was amazing <3

The bit at the end about bending the knee was perfect and so in character for Joshua.

I really like how you made it clear that Natasha is just as human as the rest of the soldiers but its her humanity that draws her to Joshua and makes him think of her as divine.

NCIS Los Angeles, Nell/Callen

Everyone in the Los Angeles Office of Special Projects is aware of three rules - that Nell escapes to the Burn Room when things get too much for her, that they should never interrupt her when she’s in there and, most importantly, that goes double when Callen breaks rule number two.

Nell’s glad of all three rules, because no-one but the two of them need to know how she vents to him occasionally, cries on his shoulder more often that that, but mostly how his hands wander over her body and under her clothes, how his lips trail paths across her skin, his tongue tracing her freckles, how she gasps and shakes and bites his shoulder as he moves inside her.

Some might not approve of Nell’s way of chasing her demons but she doesn’t care - it’s cheaper than therapy, healthier than alcohol and more pleasurable than both so, for the first time in her life, if Nell is wrong, she doesn’t want to be right.

Bleach, Kenpachi/Unohana, +Ikkaku and Yumichika

“C-Captain Unohana!” She hears Third Seat Madarame’s scandalized cry, barely registering the flush across his cheeks that becomes more apparent by his bald head, but Fifth Seat Ayasegawa reassures him: “It’s CPR.”

She overhears the explanation he gives his companion as she breathes into Captain Zaraki’s mouth, applying pressure over his chest and after a final exchange of air, she feels him resuscitate under her hands.

“Welcome back, Captain Zaraki,” she nods, “Your officers were quite worried-” but she doesn’t get to finish her statement because a large hand immediately grabs the back of her skull, and the next thing she knows is she’s clashed onto a coarse and hungry mouth, that feasts on her lips with furious tongue and teeth; Madarame Ikkaku and Ayasegawa Yumichika screech out the name of their Captain at the same time.

X-Men, Storm and students, Weather Goddess

"There's a flood warning on," Mark, the first-year student, said to Professor Munroe, "so why are we still attending classes?"

Storm waited for the student to finish, to tell the rest of the joke, to indicate any awareness of the fact that Xavier's School for Gifted Children contained persons who could manipulate natural phenomena and that he was asking the question of someone who had been considered a weather goddess at some point in her life.

"Yes," she said bluntly, when none of that awareness materialized on Mark's face.

If only! Seems unlikely given his canonical level of fixation on his boyfriend, but maybe Nao can talk him into at least some level of less self-destructive behaviour . . . as per usual. XD (Nao is like 100% of Ryu's impulse control and probably a significant bit of his brain as well. . .)

Although there was no head to their round table, King Obi-Wan was the one everyone looked to, and it was well known that the seat to his right always belonged to Sir Anakin. This day, they all sat and planned a quest to remake the caves of Ilum, where the crystals that were the hearts of their legendary swords were found, from the evil Tyrannus who had stolen them. Sir Anakin was to ride out with his squire, Ahsoka, and with Sir Aayla (the king had been planning to accompany them, but Cody, the head of the royal guard and leader of the army, had convinced him that Sir Anakin, Sir Aayla, and Ahsoka were perfectly capable of this mission and he would be more useful staying behind) and when they returned triumphant they would again be able to take the pages and squires to find their crystals at the sacred caves of Ilum.
