This post will remain open for new prompts until we hit 4000 comments, at which point we'll open a new one to avoid captcha as long as possible. New fills and comments on fills will always be welcome.


How to Prompt

Prompts should be one prompt per comment, formatted in this way: fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence

Example: Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand

Prompts may also be open ended, unspecific, or anthropomorphic, such as:

any, any, I don't like sand
or
Earth geography, sand, I don't like humans very much, either

Prompts for relationships are welcome; a / is used for romantic/sexual relationships and an & for platonic. A prompt that uses both means the relationship can be written as either romantic or platonic, such as:

Star Wars, Anakin/&Obi-Wan, I don't like sand

Prompts may be repeated if they are unfilled; there is no obligation to read through every prompt to make sure yours isn't a repeat. This year's 3SF will stay open for new prompts through Sunday, February 12th.

How to Fill

Respond to your chosen prompt with a short fic of three sentences containing the fandom & characters requested!

Prompts can be filled more than once, as many times as someone has a new idea for them.

Notes & Rules

No, fills do not need to be exactly three sentences! It's more of a guideline. Please abuse grammar and punctuation as much as desired.

3SF is a Choose Not to Warn space. Spoiler and content warnings are not required, though writers are free to add them if they please. If you see something you don't like, just scroll until you do!

A Dreamwidth account is not needed to participate. Anonymous prompts/fills are welcome, or you can use Open ID.

Cross-posting is encouraged; there is a 3SF Collection on AO3 if you'd like to post fills there as well.

I love this! (super secret plan for season 3?) You got the characters just right!

She's always fighting, it seems: scrappy, desperate, angry, and with too many teeth. She fights her mother and her step-father and her step-brother and her classmates and her friends and the creatures from the other world and she never stops fighting because she isn't sure who she'd be anymore if she isn't angry and fighting.
But then Steve sets a plate of her favorite pasta in front of her and runs a hand over her hair: "Eat, little warrior, and then sleep for at least eight hours or I'll get El to hold you to the bed until you do," and maybe she can stop fighting for just a little while.

Katya remembers the way they used to be, she and her husband. Back when the ticking of the clock was not ever-present and they could just be young and happy. Now, it is only in the very rare moments when the clock skips that she remembers how she used to love him and can see the same in his eyes.

There was never anything sane about Korea, about the war, about anything he found himself doing once he went to the 4077th, and yet Charles found himself considering life on the other side with distaste. There was an odor clinging to Boston polite society now, one that made his stomach churn, and his heart to ache as his peers mingled to mutual advantage in ignorance of reality. His entire existence had been upended, and somehow, he'd found his previous life was just as insane in different ways from the hell he had escaped.

Usagi had never really thought much about the particulars of "traveling through space" when she first became Sailor Moon, or, well, just about anytime thereafter. There was so much else to think about! Princes and evil monsters and dreams to protect and tests to fail and good food to eat... how was she supposed to find time?!

And yet, here in the silence, she found a kind of beauty in it. There's no sound in space, no atmosphere for it to travel, and instead she sat in tranquil silence, her hair flowing about her like she was underwater. The air was cool, but the sun was still warm as a summer day on her skin. Staring at the Earth- her home; staring at the Moon- her kingdom; and all around, all around in the silence she could hear the humming song of the world she'd given so much to protect.

What is in a name? Goncharov (for that is all he is now) knows that a name is an identity, a facet of a being. He does not know whether he misses his name, though he does miss the people who loved him (when he allows himself to think of them) and he wonders if he will ever be loved or known again, if he will ever have another name again.
